ERA Wire, Inc. was founded as a part-time venture in 1988 by Richard T. Rae Sr., whose background includes design, engineering and manufacturing in the wire machinery industry. By 1990, the company was established as a full-time operation. One year later, Richard T. Rae Jr. came aboard to help meet the ever increasing demands of the company's services.

The Rae men, together with the company's expanded workforce are truly "wired" into the continued success of ERA Wire, Inc. An unwavering commitment to their customers' needs is fueled by the special dedication of a family owned and operated business. Even the name ERA Wire is derived from the Rae family name.
